comptech supercharger

apparently, comptech is developing an SC for the 98-01 accords I read in a recent post. I'm sure it will fit the TL too with modifications. Does anyone know if it will be eaton roots or a crappy centrifugal one like the one for the s2k?

A roots type SC is more streetable.. It would help gain the low end punch our car's lack...Only problem with an SC is the fact that it runs off the crank, so it drains a little bit of the engine's power, but makes it up. A centrifugal SC is similar to a Turbo as they both are similar in where the power hits.. They both help more in the mid and upper ranges, while a roots is more effective in the low and mid range..Turbo's differ from a Centrifugal SC in that the Turbo is more modifiable BY FAR.... I'd stick to SC's for our rides..Even My Miata, I'm going with an SC.. I want the Streetable power, and i'm not going to be trying to squeeze every ounce of power out of the engine..

if they do make an sc i'd assume it would work the best with non type S TLs because of the lower compression ratio. Maybe we could up the boost on it.

we're keeping close tabs on it on SHO. If you go to www.comptechusa.com and click on forums, Accord, there should be a thread concerning the SC. They are still in testing stages but they dont expect it to be done until late this year or even as late as mid next year. There is also a huge thread on www.superhonda.org
