Comptech super charger ?

Does anyone know the modifications that have to be made to the comptech S/C so it could work on a tl-p.

Also does the comptech S/C come with a intercooler. Thanks

no intercooler, i can tell you that much and i have been looking into the same thing. The AV6 SC is almost a direct bolt on, but I don't know what mods have to be made to make it fit...

2-3PSI for 15secs of boot...then you gotta wait who knows how long untill the capacitaros are cool for another 15secs...eventually you'll endup replacing your alternator and your batter...better off with NOS

bout the S/C:
It has been done before, i know a person who did it and later sold his tl-p setup...and not long ago somoene else sold their setup. They used the TL-S blower...there are NO MAJOR mods required, its all about moving and creating brakets to replace the ones where the TL-S woul've had em. Other than this and the batter replacement, the kit is ok.

This was explained by my friend to me and not too long ago, i put head to head, my '99 with an '02 TL-S and compared, measured and even talked about what would i need in order to accomplish this...we stopped when we mentioned $$

^^do this^^ and you'll see what i'm talking about. i dont know about the av6 S/C. Hopefully Mr.Steve will enlighten us.

Intercooler wise, it wold be REALLY easy and possible DIY if you have the stuff...all you'd need is make brakets to hang the FMIC *with inlet and outlet on driver side*, and it sould be easy frm here on...i wouldnt know, but it should be similar to what i did with my friend's eclipse...i pretty much cut'n welded all the piping from the turbo to the intake manifold!

Use the AV6 Kit.

For an intercooler... a FMIC will cause a SERIOUS loss in boost response. Yes it would add horsepower, but you'd lose the instant boost response you get from the blower w/o the FMIC. All that plumbing with the front mount really slows things down.

^^ he seems to know his shit, listen up.

i still think (common sense also) that the tl-s kit would be optimal, i mean, as far as i know the av6 is a different engine (not too diff though) so you'll still have to modify prob the same stuff AND make the brakets either way...TL-S S/C made for 3.2L, most things you gotta plug with the S/C are in the same place, belts align, S/C -> icebox piping will fit with minor mods and icebox piping -> intake manifold will be pretty much the same. AV6 made for 3.0...idk what you think?

sry if it sounds stupid...New rule...dont drink and post

that would make the installation easier...unless you use the av6 kit...AV6's TB is 58mm right?

I would also suggest you buy a boost/vaccum gauge and a fuel pressure gauge.

You'll need electronic gagues which are more expensive.

I purchased mine from Summit Racing. You will need a boost/vaccum gauge. Autometer seems to be the most popular. They make a boost guage that goes from 30 inHg to 15psi. Since you'll never see more than 7psi you don't want to buy like a 30psi gauge. They also make a 0-100psi electronic fuel pressure gauge. Each gauge is a little under $200. You'll also need two fittings for the fuel pressure gauge. I'll help you out with those later.

You can guy the A-pillar gauge pod from www.gaugepods.com. I believe it is around $50-60.
