Comptech Exhaust from E-bay

I just won an auction on Ebay for a slightly used Comptech exhaust for $340.
Pretty good deal, as I have been waiting for a used set for some time. I couldn't justify the cost of a new set.

I already have Comptech headers, icebox, springs, sways, Unichip, Mugen cooling mods, bored out TB from King Motorsports and 35% Llumar tints. With the exhaust, I think I'm done modding my 02-TLS.

You will love them, they go really good with the headers and the CAI. I have them on my CLS and love the exhaust note, people say that they are quite but i think they are pretty modest. I just got myself a greddy evo 2 exhaust which i am planning to put on the my TL-S since its made for the CLS i would have to do some modifications to have it fit flush with the rear bumper.

Sorry about that..... I used Aution Stealer, it monitors the bidding and puts in the bid 2 seconds before the action closes.

Thumbs up Ebay Exhaust.

I picked mine up off ebay this past week as well. 355+ship ...an ok deal I assume, I just wish they werent marked up on the bottom where someone clearly backed down the driveway too hard and bottomed out the tips. I guess thats common? I took better care of my car and dont have a scratch on my stock tips or on my car for that matter. Question is that it wasn't disclosed in the auction should I dispute it with the seller or just accept it as normal wear and tear on used exhaust? Were your set in the same condition on the bottoms (or other comptech owners?) Sorry for jacking your thread...congrats on the buy.
in any case I guess there's not much I can do about it, nobody will ever look at the bottom of the pipes anyway, I'm just very anal about my car.

thanks,
Chris.

lol i was actually watching that auction as well.... but it seems as though DJ5's set was much cleaner.
crombie... if you requested more pics form him, he sent out 2 pics and one of the pics clearly indicated a worn out/hole spot on the bottom of each tip..
honestly, idont think theres much you can do, but good luck.
i despise both of you.

You know you're exactly right. He did send me the two pictures and I didn't notice that, I see it now clearly. I was just too excited to have finally found a pair of exhausts that I didn't look them over that hard. I was too anxious to win a set. I've been looking for months and months. In actuality they dont look quite as bad in reality as they do in the pictures. I used some polish and cleaned them up a bunch. shine like new. no corrosion just the scars on the bottom. (no bolts though) so I'll have to salvage the existing ones or try and find a hardware store with them in stainless. I tried to bust my existing ones off but I lack a pneumatic impact wrench so it's killing me because I cant install them. Hope you find a set.
I'd love to hear a clip if anyone has one of a set.

I have decided not to install the Comptech Exhaust that I purchased on Ebay.
See post #1 for link to picture of the exhaust on ebay.

I will be listing them later on the black market for $375 (including shipping to US only).
