Comptech Exhaust
The Comptech exhaust is VERY quiet. It has a slight growl under acceleration but it is not very loud at all. If all you want is looks then go with the comptech exhasut or some classy, appropriate- sized tips. If you want a loud exhaust note don't go with the comptechs.

and I'll add that I'd call it a "droning sound" when cruising at highway speeds. Personally, I love the sounds it makes now
Don't buy an exhaust for power gains... it's axel back and will only give around 4HP.
Go for tips if you want, but the Comptech Exhaust looks SWEET! Here's a pic of mine:
Comptech exhausts rock! My cousins were raggin on me for putting exhausts on my car. They kept saying that it was a waste for our type of cars. They immediately approved whenever they saw and heard them though. You get a throaty growl whenever you turn on the car and a deep moan during your driving at lower rpms. And they look sweet! You should definitely get them if you want a little bit of sound and an awesome look.

Comptech exhaust looks AWESOME. Its not to BIG or Small. When it comes to appearance, its PERFECT. When it comes to sound, I think its louder than what I expected. Maybe its just me. I use to have Nissan Maxima which had HKS exhaust and that exhaust sounded awesome. It was just little bit louder than the stock, just enough to notice the exhaust. Maybe thats what I'm use to. I think Comptech exhaust is louder inside of the car than outside. I know it not as loud as some of those small cars exhaust like Civics or Integras. I purchased Comptech exhaust for TWO reasons.
1. For looks.
2. Name "Comptech" (reputation)
Overall, I lvery happy/satisfied with my Comptech Exhaust and if I had to buy it again, I would.

I like my comptechs...
they are definitely quieter compared to the ricer exhausts...
It's a nice growl..
But if you want to be different get the HKS Draggers... they are onsale for $389 at autooptions.com
good luck...

The Comptechs and the HKS are probably the quietest ones out there, as they still retain the b-pipe which contains the resonators. With the cat-back applications, you loose the resonators and the noise level will increase more then just axle-back designs. This is the reason why Comptech didn't offer a cat-back, as the gains were minimal and noise increase was a bit much as well as the cost.

I thought the whole purpose of (aftermarket) exhaust systems was to give you extra HP (less restriction, better flow, more HP). Somebody tell me I'm wrong?!?
