Worse how? It's an awesome car, albeit about a second slower to 60. I liked how the S drove, bu it didn't feel much faster under my butt-dyno, and I also found the TL more attractive to my taste, so I got it instead.

I think your particular car is beautiful the way you have it! If you're antsy to trade up to an S, why not wait a year or so more and save up for a nice German car, maybe a 540i?

funny how the Acura fanatics on the board have been pushing the BMW's. I understand it's a great car, but funny how people that LOVE their TL's can't wait to afford or upgrade to a better car.

I guess b/c my family has always had BMW's, I've never been that into them. They are nice cars, but my practical streak has always led me to get Honda products and then personalize them to my taste. A 540 is pretty sweet though, but price comp kills it from my range.
I like the way the TL rides, looks, feels and drives. At the price we paid, we all got a great car. If the S is faster, so be it, it doesn't make our TL's obsolete like some would lead you to believe. Kepp your TL for awhile and see what the next generation of cars offer before jumping onto the next car, otherwise you may face this dilemna again very soon.

Hey, I love my TL but it's just not a Bimmer. Drive a nice 5 or 7 and you'll see the light. It's just something about how those cars are screwed together, it's like magic! The auto tranny in the 5 is amazing - part-throttle 2 gear downshifts that are just seamless, and it always is in the gear that I would have chosen. And the back seat of the 7-series iL is the nuts!!!

I am only looking into getting a Type S due to the accident that my mom got into with my car, I was considering getting another TL when that happened, but didn't think anything of it, so it wasn't not a priority..Now there's more of an incentive to get another one with the Type S coming out, but if I don't get it, it's fine with me.. still not a priority...

If you start to not like your car as much as you used to, you can always begin upgrades. get the extra HP, handling, and different look for your car. You'll spend thousands less upgrading your car than you would if you were to trade it in for a new one. Plus you'll have the look and feel of a new car along with the comfort of still driving the same car that you already know and hopefully love.
