Go get yourself a set of very tiny needlenose pliers.

The other thing I tried which was successful was to take an old credit card with some sticky tape on it and shove it back there and the coins should stick to it. I found some very thin doubleface tape that worked great. It's used for carpet laying.

I had this exact same thing happen to me a few weeks back. It was annoying as hell not being able to close the coin holder completely. What I did was remove the plastic pieces below the coin holder. This is back piece of the space in between the heated seat buttoms. It will take some time. Good luck with getting the coins out and next time don't put so many coins in the holder that it overflows.

First of all, it isn't an ashtray, but an actual coinholder...

Now, you will want to do what JeffyTL said. I too had this problem and fixed it by removing the cover to the computer terminal, which is between the two seat heater buttons, and is right underneath the coin holder. I then used a key, but I like the credit card idea better, to slide the coins out from behind the holder. Also, I banged on either side of the coin holder trying to jar the coins loose. It took quite some time, but I finally got them out of there. Good Luck.

Use 1 chopstick, stick a used bubblegum (not chewing gum) to the end and extract the coin out.

Or if you are handy with a screw driver you don't mind taking the car apart you can remove the rear end of the center console (slide it back a bit), pull straight up on the wood trim (put that aside), unscrew the passenger side panel on the remaining center consol, pop out the side and pull it straight back removing it...if you go through all that (should take maybe 15 minutes if you're abnormally careful doing it) you'll have full access to the rear of the coin holder so you can retrive your change. It sounds harder than it is.

The piece under the holder takes like 5 seconds to remove, and helps out tremendously...
