I hate to sound fatalistic but you probably went too far before you shut it down. Sorry.

Hopefully, Acura will cover it since they did the last change. Unfortunately, it had been some time since they did the work. Make sure they know you check your oil regularly and it looked good before you left.

If they do anything it may fall under good faith or good customer service. This is when a good customer/dealer relationship may be critical.
