Clock Light Replacement

Dealer's quote: $8.36 for parts, $135 for labor. OMG!

Ouch! Maybe they are installing an entire brand new clock unit and only telling the customer the small light is being replaced. This way, they get to disguise the fact that the unit is $135 and the labor is $8.36, allowing them to make some extra dough by selling more than the customer needs.

Reminds me of some eBay ads. Get a Philips HID bulb for $0.99 with $75 shipping (not that I ever seen one exactly like this, but I'm pretty sure many know what I'm getting at).

i got teh replacement bulb from acura dealer for ~$4.5, and replaced it myself.

well even if you pay the 8.36 for it it's alright, but DO IT YOURSELF!!!!

I just replaced the clock light today. Wow that was so easy. If you got the quote over the phone the bulb is cheaper once your there and get it. I only paid 3.54 when i was quoted 7.56.

According to the same picture, and what the author neglects to inform the DIYer, is that the TL should be at 3500 RPM and 100 MPH while attempting to remove the gauge cluster trim!
