Clear bra pics
Here you go. Got this done a long time ago, but never posted pics.
Hood, front lip,and sideskirts were custom cut, bumper and side mirrors are X-pel. If I had to do it over again, I would go with ArmorFend pieces instead of the X-pel ones and still get the same custom pieces I did.

Two questions:
1- Why would you go with the ArmorFend instead if you had to do it again?
2- If you don't mind me asking, roughly how much does it cost to do this custom install? Is it economical compared to having a standard bra?
Thanks.

Sporty X type
Good pic of hood. If u look at my pics on sig. link, I had a larger on done w/ the 3M clear bra. I wonder why you don't like X-pel. I've heard that before......

Yep...same questions as InspectorGadget...and also what's that line I see on your hood? And is there any point to Zaino/Waxing over the Xpel...or should you just do a really good Zaino job beforehand and then have them lay it on?

I forgot to add my front fenders, fogs and headlamps are also covered along with the wheel well portions of the side and rear skirts.
Armor Fend is just another company making Clear Bras just like X-pel. They ALL use 3M film, they just cut them differently. Armor Fend cuts their pieces better IMHO. For example the Armor Fend bumper piece will cover the entire bumper from wheel well to wheel well. X-pel just covers the front and has relief cuts. Also the Armor Fend wraps around the endges of panels so you dont see the seam on all 4 sides which is what happens with the X-pel kit. It doesnt warp around the edges.
I went custom because the TL Armor Fend Hood Piece kit had too drastic a curve for me and as a result went up maybe 3 inches from the edge of the hood. My custom cut piece went up much higher and to boot was actually cheaper. Using custom cut pieces where ever possible is cheaper than most of the precut pieces.
All told my install here in NY ran over $900, but I lost a ton of money by doing stupid things
1. I bought the kit myself, the installer who gets it wholesale and could have gotten it cheaper.
2. The X-pel hood bothered me so much I spent another $170 to redo it with the custom cut piece.
Had I just gone to him from the beginning and been better informed I could have saved prob $300, ouch!!!!!!!

Or I could coat it with glass...ya know get them to pour molten glass over the car and let it harden...or I could get them to put a 1" thick clear coat on it Only slightly more than the $2000 doing the whole car would cost
