BodyKit Help!!

I need help about how I should get the bodykit:

1) Buy the kit off of this website and install it myself?
2) Buy it off this website and have my dealer install it?
or
3) Buy the kit from the dealer and have them install it?

Basically what would be the cheapest and easiest thing for me to do? Also what does OEM stand for? Is that another name for the bodykit from Acura?

Thanks in Advance for your help!

Buying the kit from the site is likely the cheapest way to go. As for installation, if you feel somewhat comfortable around tools, I don't think it's too complicated. I think people have posted instructions on how to install the kit. If you don't think you're up to the install, go to the dealer.

I agree with what he says...It would be cheaper to buy off this site..and if you know a thing or two about installing things.i say you install yourself. or go to a performance shop. The dealer might charge too much. also OEM stands for "Original Equip. Manuf." am I correct guys?

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the kit from the dealer. You'll pay way too much for it. Buy it here, like I did.

I put mine on myself and it wasn't too bad. Tim (aka Snook) provided me with some installation tips and it was pretty easy. And there are plenty of posts here explaining how to do it.

If you are comfortable with installing stuff yourself, definitely go with #1. There are so many people on this list that have done it, even if you run into problems you can post your questions and people will help you out. This will save you some cash.

If you decide you don't want to install it yourself, go with option #2. I don't know where in NJ you live, but from everything I've read on this list, Park Avenue Acura in NJ is *the* place to get stuff done on your car. Wayne and Jens work there and read this forum and post helpful information all the time. And they'd be more than happy to install your kit for you. Plus I even think they'd let Tim (owner of this site and ACP) ship the kit directly to the dealership so you don't have to bring it with you.

Whatever you do, don't buy it from the dealer unless you're already wiping your a$$ with $100 bills.

well, if you havent' lowered the car you probably could still put the kits on without jacking the car up. but trust me it would be 100 times easier by jacking it up.

if you have an 02 tl you will have to drill some holes for the front lip. and again trust me it's sooo easy. i have never worked on cars. the kits were my first and boy it was easy.
