hey, any of you know where i can get a chrome shift plate for a '00?

chrome shift plates are only for 1999 TLs.

you can use the 99 shift plate but you will loose the 1st gear part in the gate shifting

only solution is to spray paint with some metalic paint (autodiscount, pepboys, autozone, etc) and it'll be ALMOST the same

the chrome shift plates are almost stock on a 99TL. the 99TL comes straight from the factory chromed, but they painted an extra silver/aluminum looking color over it. all we (99tl owners) have to do is spray it down with graffitti remover and pretty much set. (after taking the whole thing apart, but that takes less than 10 minutes to do)

He is right. I had one in my 03TL-S before I sold it.. Its a perfect fit and you only lose D1 and D2.

nah im all set i wanna keep my 1st and second gears becasue it snows a lot up here so they will probbalby be helpful but thanks anyways

 

you can always go on tiptronic...its the same thang...and if you need second then gateshift down to second...as easy as that

 

not the same. you cant 2nd gear start in ss mode

 

you didnt understand.
with '99plate on '00 you can still gateshift to second, just not first, in which case ~ SS.
