The other day I was driving home from work and the traffic around me was really annoying me, so I was finally the first one at the red light and just wanted to get away from these morons. Light turned green and I took off and to my surprise the car chirped 2nd. lol I had to make sure I wasn't hearing things so I did it again at the next light and sure eneough there was the chirp again.

I don't really like driving my car that hard for any reason, but I think thats pretty cool that an automatic stock TL-S can chirp 2nd gear. My OEM tires have about 3/4 life left as well. Hopefully when I get new tires this won't happen.

 

chirping is nice. i dont know why u dont want to chirp gears. i think it shows power.

It shows power, and sounds cool, but it makes you slower =( You want all the traction you can get.

My friend used to chirp 4th in his 2001 Jetta Wolfsberg Ed. 1.8T he had all kinds of mods but it was scary riding with him....

 

Turn VSA off and you can chirp third But chirping is nice adds a little touch you cant buy off eBay or read a DIY about lol...

ive only done it a few times but i cant see to do it consistently

 

It's when you shift gears and your tires "chirp" (spin out a little on the pavement) because of so much power with not enough traction

 

No Fair with your manual tranny...

 

Psh.. I can chirp 4th at 150mph
