I ran over something on the freeway and my passenger side foglight went out. Well since then when i start my car the check maintenance light blinks on and off for about 5-10 seconds. Anybody know what it is.

 

Oil change reminder - that is the ONLY function of the Maintenance Required Light.

Do you by any chance have an owners manual? If so you need to use that, or the search button - no offense but these threads pop up every week.

Reset the light by following these instructions:

1. With ignition off, press and hold both SELECT AND RESET buttons.
2. While holding them, turn ignition to "ON' position but do not start engine.
3. Hold the two buttons until the light stops flashing and goes out.

 

actually see the light blinks on and off for about ten seconds then it disappears, it doesnt stay on.

That's what I said. Hold those buttons until it stops flashing.

If you exceed more than 7500 miles since it was last reset it will come on and stay on.

 

alright thats koo the maintenance light started comming up after i ran over that crap on the freeway i will trust your judgement though thanks agian
