Yesterday I took my car back to Keye's to replace my ECU due to my "Check Engine" light going on twice in less than 2000 miles. Initially my service rep led me to believe that Acura was coming out with an updated ECU. Now, I'm not so sure if it was updated or they just gave me a new one. Anyway, I'm just hoping it solves the problem. (Jens or WayneG, do either of you know anything about this?)

BTW, they gave me a loaner for the day, and I upgraded from a Saturn to an I30 for $10. My thoughts on the I30: Good low end torque (due to RWD?), did not like transmission, steering heavy (but not bad in comparison to pre-modded TL), rear sunshade was very cool, their Bose stereo is worse than ours, console is ugly. Overall, not bad, but I'd rather have a Maxima. Whereas between a TL and an Accord, I'd much rather have a TL (but with the I30's auto rear sunshade).

Didn't know you can upgrade with dealership loaners? Who gets to drive the I30? Owners of MDX, NSX, RLs?

It was an Enterprise loaner. Keye's paid $30, I paid $10. Usually they do everything in their power to avoid giving out loaners, but he knew I was pissed from the last time I took my car in and was trying to make it up to me.

 

Then J30 is RWD I think.....

however I am the king of the Engine Check Light here I believe... mine came up 9 times in 11 months already....

They did replace my ECU the 3rd time.... but it didn't fix my problem..... Good luck...
