The "check engine" light came on a little over a week ago after I had gotten gas. After reading the manual, I learned that I may not have clicked the gas cap three times. Well, I read in the manual that it may take "three trips" for the light to go out. What the @%*$ constitutes a "trip"????? A tank of gas? Turning off the engine and re-starting it? I have no idea. A dealer told me that it would take a few days, but that didn't do it. Anybody else with the same problem? Thanks.

 

When it came on for me after I accidentally left the gas cap loose, it stayed on for a week.. I finally gave up and took it to autozone and had them erase the code. It never came back and this was months ago, but I knew the problem was the gas cap because it was loose.
