I have a 2002 TLS with about 54,000 miles on it. Today while driving the check engine light came on witht he VSA light as well with the triangle traction control light. I pulled over, and turned the car off and back on, hoping it was just an error. The VSA light and triangle traction control light turned off, but the check engine light stayed on. Anyone know what could be the problem? has it happened to anyone else? I hope its not too much to fix, since my car just got out of warranty. Any help? thanks

 

ya that happened to me I did the same shut down and restarted the check engine stayed on the dealer turned it off said that when you start your car it checks the pressure in the fuel system if the gas cap is loose it could come on also if you re-fuel with the engine running it will come on in my opinion it is nothing but the light is annoying I know if it don’t go out after a few restarts it must be turned off by the dealer of some other car center I drove with it on for 6 months don’t worry

 

yea I figured it was nothing too major, because the car seems to be driving fine. But I have an appointment to take it on on tues, hopefully its back to normal before that. I need to kind of go on a longer trip on wednesday, and it would just make me feel a little more secure by NOT having that light on the entire drive. Thanks for the relpy
