check engine light

put it the oe thermoblok spacer kit. Engine sounds fine. starts fine, idles fine. CHeck engine light came on after about fifteen mins of driving. I triple checked all the bolts, hoses, electiric connections. Does anyone know what it could be. Or is this normal for the first hundred miles or so. I reset the ecu just a couple seconds ago so later im going to check it.

Its possible some residue from cleaning got on the O2 sensor and should clean itself off with driving

Its possible that you installed the oem gasket upside down as well.

well let me give you the whole story.... get ready, its a long one. So i cleaned my im and egr and then put everything together...correctly. Then after a couple of days, my idle began to studder sometimes on a warm startup and then after a while, it would studder and then die if i didn't hit the gas. Recently, i started the car and the engine was idling horrible at like 350 rpm while i was holding the starter in, i tried hittin gthe gas, but it didn't respond to the throttle at all. I let it sit for a couple mins, made sure everything was in under the hood and then it started right up, no problems. Just yesterday, i got my spacer kit and installed it, when i dissasembled everything, i made sure it was all proper, I reinstalled everything. I checked my throttle body and adjusted my throttle linkage and double checked it. Turned on the eninge, everything was fine. Drove it around for like 20 mins and then the ecu light came on. Reset the ecu then took off today, my car had a little studdering, but didn't die. I drove to school and the cel wasn't on. If it comes back on i guess i can scan it. But do you know what might be causing all this.

You shouldnt have reset the ecu. It was throwing a code and would be far easier to help you. Get it read and let us know what it says
