Press both of the buttons for the trip select and trip reset and keep them pressed. Turn the engine on and wait untill the flashing of the light in question stops. Once it does, your problem is gone. But make sure you do everything right, it says check engine for a reason.
PM or email me if you have any more trouble.

I didn't know that disconnecting the battery would reset the check engine light. BTW, one of the features of the Car Chip is that it can reset the CEL.

Ok cool, do you know if I will need the radio code after I do this. I must have misplaced the radio code somewhere and cant find it. I really dont want to pull apart half the dash again to get the serial number in order to get the code. Thanks

Register your VIN at the Owners Link at Acura.com and you never have to worry about losing/forgetting your radio code or your NAVI code (if so equipped). You'll also never have to wonder what re-calls or extended warranties apply to your car. A heck of a lot easier than pulling half your dash apart.

For a group of people who are Internet aware enough to find this site, you'd think everyone here would register at Acura.com.

My car is registered at acura.com, but I never put the radio code in there. Last thing i want is for someone to have access to my radio code online, especailly with all the computer hackers out there.

Have fun taking apart your dash....again. You could also visit your dealer and with your VIN, I believe they can tell you your radio code.

There are a lot better hacker targets on the Internet than Acura.com looking for the radio codes that might be there. If you are that paranoid about it, simply add one to each digit of the code, 1434 becomes 2545, or some other encryption code that you'll remember.

Im not taking my dash apart again. I am just going to have to wait for the 160 or whatever number it is of cold starts before it resets itself.

hey, jleon2516 why is your cel on anyway? what code?

do you have the indash cd changer, if so you can access the serial # without taking the dash apart, actualy you don't have to take the dash apart for any of them if you know were to look.

You can pull the "Back Up" Fuse located in the passenger side fuse/relay box for 10 seconds. When I reset my PCM, it did not do anything with my radio. I'm sorry that I don't remember which fuse # it was but there's a chart inside the fuse/relay box door.

Although there is a sticker that was either installed by the factory or dealer that lists my code for the factory radio.
