Check engine light is on

The check engine light on my car came on this morning (99 TL 129K miles, original tranny) and short afterwards the TCS light also came on.
I went to autozone to have the codes read and it came up with the following:

P0325 - Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)
P1738 - Manf acura control transmission
No fault detected.

When I saw the transmission code I though that my tranny was hosed, but the car drives fine, shifting is smooth. That "no fault detected" message threw me off though.
Does anyone know what this could be?????

D4 light is not flashing. When I start the car now only the check engine light comes on and then after driving it for a about 2 mins, the TCS light comes on.

So, that's the front knock sensor. I think that happens when knock is detected in that cylinder bank by other systems (like crank angle sensor or spark unit) but there's no Knock Sensor signal to match it up to. The ECU thinks that the sensor must be busted and lights the MIL. Shutting off TCS might just be a self defense mechanism to prevent further problems until the code can be checked. The tip on resetting the ECU is a good one and will usually get rid of any spurious codes which were tripped through some random engine hiccup. If the code for knock sensor comes back, though, it might need to be replaced. The last car I replaced one on was about $30 for the part.

The automatic transmission on most newer cars also has an ECU. The 1738 code is Acura/Honda specific and is indicating that the tranny ECU is sending its best wishes for this holiday season. Everything is fine...for now.

On the older cars there is an ECU and a TCU or TCM, which is a seperate computer for the engine and transmission.
Now a days it's combined into one, a PCM.
A code 1738 I found is only for a 99 Tl and is a second clutch pressure switch problem.

I tried resetting the ECU, the light off, but after driving for a few miles, it came back on. Went to check the codes and they are still the same (P0325 - Knock sensor circuit malfunction and P1738 - shift time error). So I am going to see my mechanic now.

Update:

Took the car to my mechanic, turned out some animal (probably a rat or mouse) decided to get cozy and chewed up the cable leading to the knock sensor. Mechanic replaced the cable, reset the check engine light and it hasn't come on again much to my relief. I am not ready to cough out a few g's for a new tranny. I am excited about again.

My car (2000 tl-p) had the check engine light on again as well as the TCS light. After restarting the engine, the TCS light went off and two days later, the engine light went off too. Don't know what happened.

it could be many things. bring it to a auto parts store to have them hook it up to their computer to get a code. mine (twice) was a p0401 which is a easy fix)
