Check Engine Light

After 40 miles and 1 day, the Check Engine Light came on...I have been reading the posts and I guess people are having problems ranging from bad trannies to bad O2 sensors. I am a bit worried that this Check Engine Light problem could linger...any thoughts/suggestions??? Is it worth the hassle or should I cut my losses???

A bit of an over-reaction, no? Get the dealer to check it out. Sensors usually fail (if they are going to) early in their life, then are fine for years. I for one would not dump a car without a very strong reason.

Thanks for the input...They have been looking at my car for 2 days now and no problems with any of the sensors, so maybe it was the gas cap??? The thing is, I never put gas in the car, it came with a full tank...

Anyway, anyone know where to pick up a shop manual for the 2002 TL Type S?

I think I am going to have to call BS on this one. When mine clicks I stop turning. No Check Engine light or any other problems. I will say this however if you don't get satisfaction from the Acure dealer either try a different one or possibly take it to a Honda dealer. I had a 5.0 mustang 2 cars ago, check engine light comes on, I take it to Ford dealer. They say we fixed it, replaced some part, come and get it, I pick it up two hours later check engine light returns. I take it back they said hmm, they said come get it, replaced some other part, two hours later check engine light again. SOS a third time. So I say Fvck Ford, by this time a think I can say Fvck. I took it to a Mercury dealer they called back in two hours said it was fixed, I picked it up and told the story of Ford they said that it was a no brainer fix and they couldn't unerstand how Ford missed it once not to mention 3 Fvcking times.
