all breaks on occasion have the tendency to squeek. try cleaning them with pressure water to clean brake dust. that and they pads may not have had any anti squeel put on the backing plate when they were installed . if not i recomend EBC Green Stuff.

I avoided the ebcs because the reviews on tirerack.com thought they made more sound than the hawk hps, however now that I just got a new pair of hawks I found out they kill your rotors fast (rotors lasted 40,000 miles on hawk hps), and they still make sound fairly often. Do you guys that have the ebcs find they're pretty quiet? I'd like to switch to them to save my rotors...

they are alot quieter than the hawks. less dust, last longer, and dont eat up your rotors.

I use the ceramic pad on my Tl-s. I don't have any problem at all. Wears well, no squeek, and I am pretty happy with them. I had used EBC green stuff on my Volvo. It did not perform as expected. I had to replace the rotors and new pad after 14000 miles.

Mine to don't squeak, juat a small grind when I come to a complete stop. Other than that, nothing to complain about. I got the cermaic brakes off TireRack.com.

I have the EBCs on for a while, maybe a 1200 miles or so. They used to squeak, but the more I drive the less they squeak. It's worth it to me for the improved braking power.

i have akebono ceramics. Put them on in march when i had about 30k miles. i have around 54k now and they have never squeaked once. the dust isn't as bad either. i have also put them to the aggressive driving test and they passed in my opinion. i recommend them highly.

hmmmm....now i'm hesitating to buy the EBCs......should i just go to acura and let them replace with stock pads?.....HATE squealing.....don't want it.....see, i don't have ANY sqealing, or a grind when i come to a stop....

EDIT: yeah, and my fronts were replaced with stock pads a few months ago by acura (no charge) and they're perfect....maybe i'll do that....

too much corrosive brake dusts from OEM pads for me. I got Akebono ProAct ceramic pad with 5% discount from rockauto.com. I will never use any semi-metallic pads ever. Ceramic pads stop better, have low dust, and no squeak.

i got axxis ultimate ceramic pads on mine only a week ago. im still hearing no squeaks. i drove the TL to the snowboard/ski resort in catskills NY, from NJ.. which was a 200 mile drive and then another 200 back.. and still they seem to be really quiet. maybe because i just got them replaced? but i heard that the axxis pads get really dusty.. so i dont recommend getting them..

my friend also uses the green stuff. he told me i should change it to them when i get my rotors changed.
