I was so impressed in acura's creativity for putting in an adjustable armrest. I used it daily. Before I bought my TLS, I test drove an Lexus IS300 and those guys didn't bother to put in armrest. How stupid is that??

I guess its a feature they took from us poor people with just a 225HP ACURA TL. I have used this feature on my 00TL since 99. I also knew about it back in 98. Lets see maybe some of us poor people can tell you your car has 260HP.

Another neat feature...

Leave your wiper in Interriment(spelling?), and set the wipe speed at any point you like. Stop the car at redlight, and wiper would wipe at the time you set it to wipe. But whenever you let go of the brake, the wiper will wipe once to clear any rain drops on the windshield....

My sales guy didn't tell me either. I only found out while I was reading the manual in my car when I first got it and I was leaning on it.. then it moved foward.

I then flipped to that section in the manual and found out it was supposed to do that.

2k2SilverTL-S, I hope you know the center console has two compartments, a smaller part on top and then the larger one on bottom.. J/K with ya. You'll find more little things that will make you smile I'm sure. Who knows what other things they have built into the TL-S from the previous models.

 

Heck, I think I knew more about the TL-S when I bought it than the salesman did. Perhaps i am not being accurate; I DID know more than the salesman. There I said it . . .

I just realized something yesterday that I did not know...the top leather part of the center armrest slides up so you can have elbow suppost while using SS....definitely a nice touch on the TL-S!

Vin says 2001, but it's really a 2000 with an upgraded cupholder!!

 

The 2001 models IS don't have armrest equipped. I think the 02 models they finally got some sense of them and put an armrest.
