Today I get get out of school and start my car it runs for a sec and dies....i thought weird try it again and same thing happens afer 20 mins of this....I call my mom and have her pick me up. Call the dealership and luckily i'm still under warranty and I called the towing company and they said they'll charge extra if it's lowered and it's a difficult for the driver to load it. My mom doesn't know my car's lowered and gets mad and to shut her up I said i'd pay for the extra charge. When I get there with my dad the driver arrives a few minutes later (amazing!!) so he lowers the ramp and I thought it was going to rip my front lip off..but amazingly it gets under and no extra charge. Now i'm have to bum my mom for a ride and wait for my baby to get well....

I put on the bodykit and she was like "wtf you do to ur car?"

 

turns out that my gas tank has been damaged and it's gonna be 1500 for it to get fixed....... Guess i'm done fixing up the tl and going back to stock. Now i have to sells the parts to compensate for the repairs.

 

ouch =( so it's not covered by warranty or what?

 

Sorry to hear that about your ride... I know how it feels, my ride is at the dealership shop waiting for a speedometer part (under warranty).

BTW, how did your gas tank get damaged? Are you riding that low?

 

what do you mean by damaged, the tank has a hole in it? Doesn't seem like there's a whole lot to damage down there evcept for maybe the fuel pump or sensor, but I would think that type of failure would be covered under warrenty

 

i don't know. The guy just said it got damaged and has to be replaced.

 

what??? I've never heard of that before... Take it somewhere else. That's too much money for a gas tank replacement.

 

Maybe because it was lowered gas tank bumped something and got bent, and damaged fuel pump in the process? That may explain $$$ and it not being covered under warranty...
