I have it too. Works great. Don't get just a starter, get a 2-way pager

Not exactly viper, but same function. LCD to show car status. If alarm trips, it pages me. remote starter, remote starter kill, etc. Good toy to play with when away from the car

I have a viper 790xv got it a circuit city...no probs...viper has a life time warranty and circuit city gives u a life time warranty on the installation. good enough for me.
Question for those with remote start... Did u have to give up a key for the remote start? since each key has a chip?

There is a module they will have to install to address the chip issue. You can get a blank key programmed at the dealer. They will put the blank programmed key in the module and bury it somewhere under the dash. I think I paid around 20-30 dollars for a programmed blank key.

I also have the Viper 790XV Responder with 2-way LCD pager. I love the autostart, but sometimes the pager will beep and its a 3 beep alert which doesnt mean anything (I read the owners manual). When im running around I sometimes push buttons on the pager and once I walked out of work and saw that I had accidentally popped my trunk open. The battery kept slipping to the side so I placed a piece of cardboard in the battery slot and it works perfect. Its a great alarm I suggest the perimeter option I never worry about my car and I basically got the alarm to protect my rims ahahaha

Yes the viper 790xv is the best on the market. It is the only 2-way fm based system. It runs about $529 and as a life time warranty when istalled by a dei dealer

vtec11,
circuit city has it for about $500 installed. And as far as the chip, there is a company named AST (automotive security technologies) that makes the bypass with out a key that way u dont have to give up a key, and it works great. The piece is about $50.
anymore questions let me know..

If u get i viper alarm i know that they have remote recogniztion. So each remote can be programmed to a certain setting on your memory seat. so u can set one remote to memory seat 1, and the other remote to memory seat 2. so if u unlock your car with one remote it will move your seat to memory seat 1 and if u use the other remote when u unlock it will move to memory seat 2. All this however must be installed when the alarm is put in. I know it can be done, but it might cost more.

It shouldnt cost that much all u need is 2 relays($10-$15each),+ some more labor and you use 2 channels on the alarm. Shouldnt be that big of n' issue.
