Car stalled yesterday...

After all the work i did on my car ,it stalled on me twice. Sometimes the the idle is perfect other times it's too low,but it doesn't stay like that ,it goes back to normal. In fact it's good most of the time.I noticed today after a hard acceleration and a quick stop the rpms dropped and nearly made the car stall again. What could it be?

Sounds like the IAVC.

Did they do anything to that during your maintenance?

how far have you driven the car since the service? It needs to go through idle learn mode. To do this you start the car (cold) put it in gear and hold the brake until the engine cooling fan kicks on.

If youve driven it very far and it continues to die, you might need a valve adjustment. My car did the same thing after a timing belt service-the valves were slightly out of adjustment.

Valves have been adjusted and IACV has been cleaned. Maybe i should disconnect the battery for a while and see what happens.

Started doing this after an oil change and new NGK Iridium plugs.

The idle is good at times and others it goes up to 800-900 and then drops to 500 and then i give it gas and it goes back to normal. Acceleration is fine.

take it back to the shop- it should run right for what you spent
probably left a vac line off somewhere

No need to reset the ECU every time you change the oil- only if you ave done major work to certain parts or done a big service and want the car to relearn

Is that idle relearn a gen2 procedure? first I have heard of it

it can take 500 miles for the car to relearn everything after an ecu reset
