Car Security

Someone just broke into the car parked right next to mine. I was wondering, if someone breaks my window, will the car alarm go off? I'm guessing no?

Also, how easy is it to hotwire our cars? Does the immobilizer chip prevent that?

I don't think we have shock or glass breakage sensors, so no.

they can break the window, but stock alarm will not go off. it will only go off once they unlock the car from the inside and open the door.

I'm contemplating getting remote start/alarm (the up to 1mi radius one) WITH the shock/breakage sensor.

just remember that NO alarm will stop the determined thief--that thing is gone

we have a member in vegas- parked- walked away in a shopping center--poof- like magic!! vanished!!

found several days later a few blocks away--they didnt even take it to totally strip!!,,just a joyride,,how hard can it be to steal if thats going on!!
