Angry car got vandalized!

grrrrr
my car was vandalized last night. i think some f*cker attempted to jack my HIDs but someone walked in on him so he ran away. this happened in a GATED, INDOOR parking lot, and my car was parked in a very visible spot right inside the gate (good thing that ppl goin in and out will see it, bad thing that ppl outside will see it and try to jack it.) so i walked down to my car this morning to go to work, and my bumper was on the ground! i was like WTF!? i go closer i and see that the bumper was forced off, like the attachments to the fender were ripped and deformed, and even the grill was detached from the bumper. and there were a few broken clips on the floor. i was in a hurry to go to work, so i jus did my best to put my bumper back on (it left a gap at the sides now cuz the bumper and fender were damaged.) i then dropped by a body shop, and they said it would cost near $1000 to fix (replace bumper, fix the fender, repaint spoiler, etc) plus i wouldn't have my car for about 5 days. gonna go complain to the apartment management later today cuz our apartments are supposed to have "high security". but i doubt they gonna do anything about it. they're just gonna b like "we aren't responsible for the cars in the garage, you park there at your own risk..."

Sorry to hear about that! Is there a sign that says "we are not responsible" around the parking garage? If there is then I doubt you can do anything about it. I guess it's time for an aftermarket alarm. Cause that a$$hole(s) might try to come back to finish the job.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear that bro! Those damn bastards need to burn in hell Lucky, they didn't steal your hids or you would've lost your low beams and fogs. I am assuming that you put the ballast together with the oems. That really sucks dude! Hope the ppl in the garage will be paying for the damage.

Damn that suck man. I park my TL-S in a garage where the only people that can get in are the folks that have keys to open the the heavy ass steel pull up gate. At $300 a month it better be secure. They also got 8 cameras just where I park. If it was me I would beat the **** out of anyone who was messin with my car.

well my garage can also only be opened by residents with garage openers. but then people can follow behind cars with openers, or sneak in when someone is going out. and we only have one security camera. but im gonna try to get the apartments to pull up the tapes for me to see if it shows anything.

Sorry to hear that man. I don't know how you seem to handle it so well though. I would have been extremely pissed off and in an aggresive nature. But you just liked "Damn I got work, I'll just take care of this after." I probably wouldn't even bother calling in late or just a no show.

Well, a word of advice: Becareful from now on at your parking area. I had a friend whose car was broken into and his header jacked, car vandalized. Couple of weeks later, he replaced with another header and everything, and AGAIN it got ripped. So becareful from now on man.

yah, im gonna demand the apartment complex to either station security guards 24/7 in the garages, or give me a new parking space in an area where u have to pass by security to enter.

Not sure if you've already taken any action against the parking lot folks, but contrary to another post, even if they had a sign posted saying not responsible for damages, they have a right by law to place that sign up even though they are responsible for your car while on their property. The sign allows them to avoid lawsuits, but by right its their responsibilty to protect your valuables. I live in Md and thats the law here but people post signs all the time to deter, check around with someone where you live!
