Oh, and to JRhodes88, my friend goes to UCF as well, and when he came home for the summer somebody broke into his car here in south florida....I just found that to be ironic. maybe its a gator or seminole.

About 6 months ago, after a stop at a retail store at the mall for work(i did product training), I came back to the parking lot to my TL with 2 smashed driverside windows.
. The fucked up part about its that, they didnt take anything, or rather, they was to stupid to figure out how to pop the truck because of the switch in the glove, which was also locked. So in turn, they decied to smash out my other driverside window too
.
They must had watch me pop my truck to put something in it, which was an empty bag because i took my laptop and demo units etc with me inside the mall, I had a stock HU and dont have anything else worth laying around in my car.
One day i want to smash their windows while they are still in it!

man that sucks I live in Waterford and like a week and a half ago someone smashed my driver window during the night didn't take shit just busted the window (they tried to pry it open like a civic but that don't work on our cars. I think they didn't know how to open the trunk as they opened the gas lid and boy was I glad I had just bought some stuff and was to lazy to take it out and I left it in the trunk I usually do not leave anything in my car because I have had many cars broken into. Orlando sucks for car break-in's/theft especially in apartments. although I thought I was going to have a bad day but when I went to find a window I found a partial lip kit for my 99 nbp. hey I guess we both can be glad they were just stupid thieves and were not looking to steal the whole car. I know ucf has a lot of car theft mostly honda/acuras and probably half the cars I see at the yards are stripped theft recoveries (so be glad it was just a window and an i-pod). there are ups and downs to drive the best cars in this world I guess.

Sorry for your loss.
I know you're downplaying the version, but it's still an iPod, I suspect that they saw it before committing the crime.
A while back, my car had a big rock thrown at the front window just so a hype could take the spare change I had in my cup holder. I had at least 5 dollars worth of change though and it was clearly visible. After that, learned my lesson about keeping anything someone might wanna take out of sight.

just want to share my unfortunate experience. This happened a couple of weeks ago... parked my car under a light post to carpool, when i came back... front right window was broken. They didnt take anything. My pioneer gps was dettached and was in the glove box and my laptop bag was in the trunk. The only thing they took is the suction cup for my gps, thinking gps is connected. Stupid thieves!!! Is there any DIY to make the red alarm LED brighter? that way, its more obvious that my TL has a loud alarm that they should not mess with... replacing window plus installation plus tint was expensive... =(
