I was wondering, because I purchased the Extended warranty and I have had my car for 5 months now and realize I do not want the Extended Warranty!!! (Actually, I think I got ripped, cost me like $1300)plus the fact that the nearest Acura Dealership is about an hour aways. Any info. would be appreciated??

5 months...I don't think so...The latest is maybe 2 weeks. You might get partialy back if you try, but that's a long shot.

I did not get it back in 99 when I got my 2000 TL. But $1300 is alot I think they wanted to sell it to me for $800.

I got the 7/100,000 for $770. Got it from Acura but its not the Acura warranty, but the other company one they provide which is like $300 cheaper.

 

Well, I checked the paperwork in my car but my warranty paperwork must be at my parent's house. Oh well, I gues I will just have to wait, unless anybody knows.

By law, you can cancel and extended warranty at any time and recuperate the "unused" portion. I did this once with my CR-X (first new car I bought). I was told I was getting an extended warranty free. When I went to pay off the loan early, I found out they buried the cost of the extended warranty in interest rate. Meaning, they charged me more principle and lowered the interest rate to make it the same payment. I cancelled the policy (and decided never to buy a car from that dealership again)

Einstein is right, you can cancel it and get a prorated refund on the "unused" portion. I bought an extended warranty on my Neon R/T and when I sold it to get the TL, I got $500 back from the warranty. The reason I got $500 is because I paid $1000 at the time of purchase and kept the car for 2.5 years. Hope it helps!!
