can I keep my pads or not?
So my rotors are warped for the 3rd time now with 45k on car. I had them turned around 10k or less ago with new acura pads on them. I've had it with this headache! I want to replace the rotors and have always replaced pads with previous changes. In this case the pads are fairly new. If they look good without marks and uneven wear, are they safe to reuse? cash is tight but I don't want to risk safety either.
oh yeah, cheapest place to buy rotora?
Thanks everyone.

If they look good without marks and uneven wear, they should be fine to use.
Cheapest place to find Rotoras? hmm... the cheapest I found about 6 months ago was at tirerack.com total was $311 (shipped), i think you can find them now for about $300 shipped.
Sorry can't find the other place.
Changing the pads does add to your stopping power, even though you could get away with using the same pads, it's always a good thing to change them, any good mech. will let you know if you can safely get away with re-using them.
If you do change them i would suggest using EBC Green Stuff pads.

Did your dealer do your brake work? Did they use the newer pads or use something that was left over from some time ago (dealer or otherwise)? There was an issue with the original pad materials causing premature brake wear and many of us got them replaced under warranty (pads and some of us, rotors, too). Though I have a great dealer, they really didn't offer to replace the brakes and such right off without some prodding...
Might be an avenue to explore.

yeah, I've done that twice now with the dealer and that is where my headache is coming from. How many times can they resurface my crappy rotors?? Think its time to get rid of them. I'm tired of babying the brakes for fear I might warp em.
I've been hearing good things on the EBC'sbut do not want to fork over the $$ yet if i dont have to. Maybe I'll get lucky on some specials near christmas time!!
Thanks for the input!

I've autocrossed a couple of times and wanted the fade resistance and better pads. I did get new rotors and pads from Acura before, though. Rotora's are cheaper than EBC and there are all kinds of pad companies to choose from. Either way you go, good luck.

I hear nothing but good things about Rotora's. The EBC look cooler, but they have this kinda gold plating stuff that looks a bit odd when on and wearing off. They are indeed more expensive and honestly, how much better would they really be? Negligible at best.
I've never dealt with streetbeat, so I dunno...

i will swap the brakes when they are completely out
i still don't hear a squeak now, which is still doing fine~

Bought my Retora at the following site. Price was not bad and I received them within a week. I would recommend them.
