Called acura

Called the 1-800-382-2238 x5 number spoke to them and was informed that my transmission recall was never done but since my 2000 tl has 116,000 miles on it any cost would be my responsibility. My trans is running well the only reason i called was to see if this recall was done so where do i go from here guys?

Thanks in advance for your help!

There's really nothing you can do at this point. The warranty is until 107k miles I think. I called yesterday and the warranty was done on mine before I bought it. BUT they informed me that the warranty is only done one time, and any after that, even if was transmission related, and I'd have to pay money to get it fixed...which I don't think is far neither.

Are you the 1st owner of the car? If your car is qualify for warranty service and for some reason that you never receive the notice (assume that you are the only owner of the car) then it's their fault since they didn't send the notice to you so they have to honor the warranty service. Now, if you are not the first owner of the car, and if you move during the recall notice, then that's the problem why they didn't honor the warranty service. Question is, how do you prove that they didn't send the recall notice if you are the only and original owner of the car.

There is NO mileage or time limit on the Recall. They will add the oiljet any time. The Time limit is for the warranty Extension.

fsttyms is correct-
the phone person looked at `trans warranty extension` not recall

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT for the recall to be performed
Take it in -- its free- as required by the government and acura corp!

They will do a boroscope camera inspection of the 2nd gear shaft and other parts thru tht oil filler hole.
IF there is specific heat damage to one of those parts- that gets a `warranty`replacement trans FREEEEE (see acura.com for details)

Does acura corp phone person know, or the service writer want to tell you that ?NOOOOOOOO
Go in informed- by reading the actual recall info and what specifics will benefit you...
At this miles they just may find a problem!

note that some VINs also get an odometer error credit of 5%
making the warranty 114,500 indicated miles, so 116 is not that far over and easily get goodwill coverage partial pay in that situation
