CAI...Comptech or Injen???

i've heard someone say that the comptech CAI won't give as much power as the Injen CAI b/c the dyno test for the comptech one was with a supercharged engine...is this true??
is it too early to tell??

i was waiting for the comptech CAI to come out and get that, but now i'm starting to doubt...maybe i should just settle for Injen
what do u guys think??

That was me

It's honestly too early to tell. That was what I had read at one point on here and on acl.com (regarding supercharger dyno). My personal feeling is that I don't think it will be better then an AEM or Injen setup... but that's strickly opinion. I think they'll all be pretty equal.

As for the AEM/Injen debate... I went with the Injen b/c I read from others that the fit was slightly better. Plus, the Injen blue matches my car better . I'll try to find a link to the topic that helped the most......

edit - Found it!! Here's the link.....

I wonder if there is any true advantage to designing the CAI like AEM or Injen compared to plastic like the stock one and supposedly the Comptech one.

Have worked with the people at Injen for a while, they do their homework, I have their intake in all my friends and families cars.

I would put 1 in my car, but they don't currently have 1 for my M3LW or my SLK230...

I've offered them my cars to prototype, but no interest in the SLK and they already are working on a E36 intake.

Don't know much about AEM except that they are expensive...

I have the Injen, and love it. It gives more of a deep v 8 like rumble down low and screams up high.
