A/C Condenser replaced - OUCH!
Since I have the shorter commute, my wife and I decided to trade vehicles: I drive her Expedition to work and she drives my 200 TL-P Navi. About three weeks ago I wanted a change so I drive the Acura one day. As I'm coming out of the office approaching the car head on, I do a double-take. There's a crack in my lower grille, and I'm thinking WTF! When and how did THAT happen? I call my iwfe and she says the other day some car swerved around some long metal rod in the road and she couldn't avoid it hitting the lower grille area. So I'm asking, well did you stop to check the vehicle? "I wouldn't know what to check for" she says.
Jumping forward a week, she tells me the TL's A/C isn't cooling properly. OK, makes sense since we haven't recharged it since we bought it used in '02. So i have to drive it until I get that fixed. Took it in Thursday (Goodson Acura - highly recommended for service) and they had it until today. They called yesterday saying they could see freon leaking out as they added, and then they noticed a big puncture in the A/C condenser " as if something large struck it through the grille" So, what I thought would be a little over $100 to check top off the freon turned into a different animal. I think she should go back to driving the vehicle that's higher off the ground.
So $548 and some change later, I have ice cold A/C again. Geez! Wives....

fuggin women, i love, they just bash into crap and wait until you say something. my girl does the same shit with her mustang, has 18" chrome rims on there, i said you hit a pot hole or rail road tracks like you use to and you have to pretty much buy a new rim since fixing it will cost about as much. well, she's already fugged up 2 of the 4, and ran over a few curbs. i just shake my head and press on.
