Had the car boosted the other day. When I got in the car, the check engine light was on. I took it to Acura and they said, dont boost or ever get boosted. The electrical charge went thru the car and messed up soem of the computers info. So they reset all the problematic spots. So the next day, I go to use the AC and I turn i on. No cold air. Im pissed and annoyed by the heat now. Later I figured out that when the button is ON, the AC is OFF, and when the AC is OFF, the AC is ON. WTF??? Anyone know how to reset this, or do I go to the dealer?? I have the extended warranty.

 

Never had a problem jumping the car. Only time its bad is when someone connects things wrong.

Bring it back to the dealer. I am un aware of how to possibly reset that.

 

You might want to try disconnecting the battery to see if it resets whatever got fouled up. Just a thought... or take it back to the dealer. One other option is to take it to Autozone and see if the car is throwing any meaningful codes. Though I doubt Acura built in that kind of monitoring (for hvac controls).

 

sorry for not understanding but what is "boosted"? I first thought of turbo, then stealing a car and after the first post it's jumping the car?
If you have a warranty, I would just take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

 

Whew! I thought they meant don't ever Turbo the car lol.

 

Lol, I wondered about 'boosted' too, thought at first the AC freon had been recharged. Always called it jump starting.
