bypass valve--->silicone boot

who here replaced their bypass valve with a silicone adapter?..i remember some ppl on here did that but i cant find who they r...i just wana swap out my bypass valve for a silicone adapter for summer...i measured the pipe without taking off the valve n i got 2.5"...is that correct??? its just a normal aem cai for the tlp...as for the silicone adapter...all i can find r 3" - 2.5" n 3" - 3"...i couldnt find 2.5" - 2.5"...can any1 help?...thx...

i was thinking bout it...but what should i b looking for xactly...something still silicone based?..

i will try the depot.
the outer foam on mine is starting to deteriotate a little.
i figure the inside is likely the same.

and the few threads about sucking pieces of bypass valve into the throttle body.

nope...however I have no idea where zero got his info about it having to be silicone based.


Seriously...go to Home Depot...go to the plumbing section...ask for a 2.5 inch wide rubber extension.

Stop typing now and go spend $4. (guesstimate)

how come there r no 2.5" - 2.5"...its either going bigger or smaller...do it really matter...kuz wouldnt the xtra space from the adapter create turbulance?...but anyways...if i have 2.5" diameter cai...which 1 would i go for?

I don't know how easier anyone can interpret that! That is a STRAIGHT 2.5 inch wide hose that's 2 inches LONG. This is EXACTLY what you are asking for!!!!!!
