Bumper Sandblasted by Dust Storm

I know this is worthless without pics, but Im at work right now so youll have to wait.

I go to my car for lunch and notice that my front bumper looks really dirty, So I go up and wipe my finger across it, and it stays the same. So I lick my finger (yup same finger) and wipe the bumper and still the same. So i take a closer look and say to myself "self that isnt dirt, that is tiny little pieces of paint missing from your bumper"

This is when I become angry/hurt/confused/angry again/then sad. My bumper wasnt perfect before, but it wasnt this bad. The cause of this bumper destruction can only be one thing........

Yesterday work was cancelled due to high winds (aircraft mechanic) and they werent just high, the wind was blowing the chalks out from under the tires of the planes. Anyway, So I left and on the way home there was so much sand being blown all over the place, that it looked like it was night time (Iraq flashback....... ok Im good) I could barely see the car in front of me. So yeah, high wind+plus lots of sand+me going 65= sandblasted bumper.

Im irritated but it's ok, cause now I have to paint my car. Thats my story, I feel much better now, thanks for reading.

Oh and if you feel like consoling me, please do. And if you find yourself really distraught and feel like you must do something to help my poor bumper, then gimme paint money.

I feel ya man. They were saying it was 60 mph gusts yesterday in L.A. Crazy winds. What's worse is I drive on the 605 and there's tons of those gravel trucks. I can give a whole rant about those gravel trucks not covering their tops, but anyways, put me on the list for 1 shattered fog lense. =*(

HAhahaha that's was good. Yeah it was really that bad. I work in Victorville at the airport, and it was like 80-90 mph gusts.

Once you have your bumper repainted, have 3M paint protection film installed on the front. This will help preserve your paint finish.

Just a thought & good luck!
