i could understand $300 w/ labor, but it seems kinda crazy....searched for almost an hour and couldn't find a 00 TL side mirror.....
you should definitely check the junk yards,.....then just bolt it on yourself.....another member asked this question yesterday or something...you remove the inside cover and the bolts are there. -peace

Ok, just looked at my receipt, I was way off, it was $120 in labor and $87 in parts, but that wasn't the whole assembly, just the mirror and actuator.
I got thrown off since I got my 90,000 mile maint. done at that time too, which was $100 more than usual, $410 (!!), so my total was in the $600s and I just subtracted my usual 30,000 mile maint cost.
Judging from my bill right here it seems the labor is the worst part, I'd just go to a dealer and have them get you the part, then install it yourself (and if you can't do it you can always go back to the dealer and have them do it, you'll already have the parts so it's not like you'll pay more in the end than if you just had them do it originally).
