Broken cupholder door on my 99'....
Hey guys, I just recently purchased a 99', you may have saw my post. The cupholder door that opens up when you push the button is broken, it won't close at all. Has anyone had this problem, should I just get a new one? I was thinking about visiting a couple junk yards to find one. Does anyone know of a online guide to take apart the center console to get the cupholder out?? Thanks a lot!

Okay, now how do you remove the old one?
Hahah...got ya! 
Anyway, does anyone have a guide as to removing the old cup holder assembly, it looks as though the wood trim pieces have to come out, but I don't want to break anything...thanks!

just open the center console and where the wood trim ends lift up from there. once up you will need to pull towards the back seat. you will see what i mean when doing it. (may pull up kinda hard bou tyou wont break it) you will have to remove the 2 screws in the bottom of the center console and the remaining screws that are under the wood trim (6 of them) then slide the center console (arm rest part) back 1-2 inches (cant go much further because of wire for 12v plug. then lift out the cupholder

guys. don't forget to replace the cupholder insert with the 2001 model. it works 10x better than the 99-00 piece. it only costs me $6 at the dealer. now no more spilled coffee...
the part# is 77237-sok-a02
it fits perfectly. you just need to trim off the 2 little tabs at the front of the thing.
