Break in oil?
This topic has been debated since I started posting, but my new TL-S mentions in the owner's manual not to change the oil until the first recommended interval. That suggests they do use something early on that helps protect the engine during its infancy?
Maybe they add a Pampers to the oil?
I also like the fact the the interior A-pillar is finished in the "mousehide" rather than the vinyl - it look classier - also true for the area around the seat belt latch (upper).
So far I really like the TL-S, although I will be putting my Summer Pirelli's on soon. The stock tires are still too much of a compromise for me.
I think the steering is much better to the S than my 2000 TL, and I love the memo seats.
I am 6'2" and my wife is 5'5", so when she (rarely) drives my car I break my knees when I try to get back in.
BTW, there are two remote keys One has a "1" on it, the other a "2". When you unlock the door with one or the other remote, it moves to the 1 or 2 seat memory position accordingly. Saweeet!

Honda(or any auto makers for their newer cars)suggests that you stick with the recommended mileage for one reaction: FRICTION.
Oil reduces friction, which the piston rings needed to seat themselves properly. New cars now aday are very well made, stick with factory recommendation is usually what you need to do now.....
