brake work

Well today my car under went some maintance. I was sitting around bored because it was snowing and i still refuse to take off my summer tires cause i want to have fun with them. So i got to thinking that finally after 193,000 miles it was time to bleed the brakes. I took a jog 5 blocks down to the parts store and picked up 2 big containers of Valvoline

and made sure all of it went thru the system. The old stuff was pretty brown.
all in all it took like 30 min.

If you have a pressure bleeder, it is pretty fast - no need for a second person and taking wheels off. Just open and close bleeder valves one by one.
I chose ATE SuperBlue last winter to flush old fluid out - I can tell when to stop when the blue fluid is coming out instead of yellow stuffs.
The draw back of pressure bleeder is you are pumping air into the new fluid, so there is some advantage of the good old pump and stop two man method...

you pull off the tire, turn a nut a 1/4 turn (opening the valve), add new brake fluid to the resivour in the engine bay, and pump the brake pedal until the new fluid comes out the valve, close the valve (nut)... Repeat with all four tires, starting with the furthest from the brake pedal, the rear passenger, then the rear driver, then the front passenger then the front drivers..

damn, that sounds easy... are you sure its that easy? any problems i would run into?

how much fluid would i buy then? it sounds like when i pump the old out of the rear passenger, the resevoir should be filled with new fluid, but i have 3 more tires to go. so the resevior is filled w/ new, but the old fluid is still in the lines, so does this mean the 3 tires should go faster than the first one?

i'm being cautious b/c i changed the front rotor/brakes, and that was suppose to be <1hr, turned out to be 3hrs (late for an event) when i got to the screw holding the rotors, i knew it was a pain, but damn, didn't expect it to be a PITA.

any pics of the srew i'm suppose to be opening?

id rate this as a 2, and changing brakes id rate as a 2 maybe 3(due to getting so dirty from brake dust)

In all honesty no not really. pedal feel is almost identical as before. I know id see a difference at the track since i know that fluid had boiled many times
