I have had to replace the brake switch a couple times in the past three months. This switch allows you to shift out of park and makes the brake lights work. Is anyone else having this problem?

 

I have heard other members have this problem, but not as excessively as you are having. I would definitely look into the lemon law and see if acura will buy the car out from you. I mean, this is not a minor problem, everytime it fails it totally wrecks your plans...cause not getting out of park is a bit of a problem.

Talk to Acura Corporate and see if they will replace the car for you.

 

i would start to look into why the switch may be going out? it may be a good time to bring it up with the dealer?

 

it happened to me once, dealer fixed it.......now sometimes when i press the brake it doesnt shift, then i leg go of the brake and press it again and then im able to shift....everything the dealer fixes doesnt stay fixed!
