my cars brake light, for the e-brake sometimes stays on even when the e-brake isnt applied. any ideas? eventually it shuts itself off but sometimes it doesnt. Other times it goes off when I turn the car on like normal. When i park i dont use the e-brake so its rarely ever engaged. So basically the light is coming on for no reason.

 

check your brake fluid, and your brake pads could be low.

 

we dont have an indicator for low brake pads.

But yes, check the fluid level in the master cyl and MAKE SURE that the float on the cap moves freely
