Brake Lamp light on

Hey guys. I just changed one of the 4 brake lamp bulbs in my '99 TL. After driving around for a few minutes, the brake lamp light came up on the dash and wont go off. Any suggestions? Do I need to reset the cars computer by unplugging the battery? Thanks guys.

The exact same things happened to me... I changed my brake lamp bulb and it worked fine... then after a few mins, the brake lamp is on... the bulb lasts for two more days and then it's officially dead... so u can have ur friend to check which one is not on when u step on the break... and change that one as well, then u should be ok!

Thumbs up

I had the same problem back in November .
The tail lamp bulb was out I replaced all the other bulbs while I was replacing it. When I started the car to check everything the indicator on the dash came on. I rechecked & took it to the dealer they replaced the bulbs again. The dash light went out & on the way home it came back on. I took it back a few days later because I needed other warranty work done & had an appointment. They told me that a bulb was not secure.
I thought this was strange because I thought I put it in tight. They also did it & the same thing happen. I notced that the lamp would come on as soon as you pushed the brake pedal after starting the car. Since they fixed the car the last time I have not had any mmmore problems.
