bosch oil filters

so i decided to go with them versus mobil 1 mainly due to price. I get 2 bosh filters vs one mobil 1. im thinking i can change my filter more frequently and ive seen many comparison test between the two that show they are very close.

right now im using amsoil 530 every 10k miles. does 5k miles per oil filter sound about right?

suggestions?

Why not use Amsoil filter together with your amsoil?
Amsoil is an expensive oil, if you have money to buy this expensive oil how come you are being cheap on oil filter?
Besides, how you plannig to change a filter and keep the same oil? Its possible, but pain in the ass.... I'd just go with Amsoil filter and go for 10K miles.... Do you care about your time spend doing extra oil changes?

your plan sounds good, a good filter(mobile-1,stp,bosch) will last 5k but thats all id run on them. I also do my own oil change, and love it. the 15 min it takes me is time well invested in assuring a good job.
I'm also taking the same approach w/filters, I use STP oversized for $2.99 after doing my homework. those who say "you get what you pay for" keep on buyin those 10dollar Frams that say Honda on them.

I am going with either Mobil1 or K&N Oil filters. They should go well with Amsoil 5w-20 for 7500 miles.
