body kit question
Well I'm gonna be ordering my body kit from this site soon
, just need to wait for pay-day, but I'm a little curious. When taking my car in for an oil change I decided to make use of my waiting time and ask about the pricing for the body-kit, ya know, just to see how much I was saving. They told me the total was gonna be around $1600!
That's not including labor yet either (even though I would want to install it myself just for the experience). Are acura dealer's ripping customers off by THAT much (I mean, it is what? only like $900 on this site?) or are the one's on this site like clones of the originals?

well it's dealership, of course they are ripping us off for the tiniest stuff. go and try to buy some screws from them and see how much they are.
anyway the kits tim is selling is the same acura is selling to you. if you think about the fact that the kit is nothing more than four sets of plastic they really aren't that expensive. so yeah the dealer is ripping people off a lot. and also keep in mind, tim is also making profit selling kits at 900 bucks here too. after all it's business and he needs to profit from the stuff he sells. and you can imagine how much the dealers got from you by selling you the kits

Seriously, just get it from Tim and install it yourself. My understanding is that the install isn't too bad. The dealer is always going to rip you off. I mean, look at their charges for the services. The major ones aren't too bad, but the minor ones are a rip. They charge around $200 just to check stuff... I do that for free. They can get away with charging more b/c they are a dealer and many people trust them more then their own children. Fortunately for us... we know better!!

I agree, buy it here. I did, and installed it myself (it wasnt that hard). The dealer wanted a lil over $1200 for the kit and about $200 for the install. I paid $889.99 incl. shipping from this site and spent about 4 hrs. installing it
