I just tapped the yellow and red wires to red with white stripe(I think)wire and tap black to
black wire from the cigarette adapter. The green wire is just hanging there not connected
to any wire. (not grounded either).

So the yellow and red wires tap into red with white stripe which is located behind the radio? Black to black behind cig adapter and the green stays put. The car negative terminal will be disconnected correct before I attempt this. I just want to make sure I know which wires and where they are located so I don't mess up. Thanks

That's correct. Both black and red with white stripe wires are from cig adapter.
In another words, they provide the power to cig adapter. Hopefully this may help.

Has anyone ever had a problem with their BlitzSafe not charging the Ipod and turning it off when the ignition is turned off?? Mine is not doing either- plays fine though.

The guy who owned the car before me ('02 TL-S) did a really crappy wiring job on the stereo, although I have a buddy (professional installer, lots of custom work) who re-wired the whole system back to stock. He doesn't have a clue as to why the thing won't charge, said the unit may be faulty - has this happened to anyone else?

By the way, it's the stock headunit, only mod is an amp and sub in the back (which my friend installed). This is driving me crazy!!

Getting ready to order the DICE iPod Adapter

Question though. All these adapters have little boxes that takes the "iPod signal" and turns it into a signal the head unit can read. They all go behind the radio, but how is everyone securing them? I just don't wanna throw it back there, out of fear that it'll move around, rattle, or whatever else.

For those of you with the USA spec adapter, the product description says that it can charge the iPod for "up to 1 hour" after the car is shut off. Is there any way to control the time that it continues to charge the iPod? Can I somehow set it to 10 minutes instead of 60 minutes, or turn off that feature all together?

To see if your xm is using your aux, take off the passenger side knee panel and feel the back of the radio if there is any adapter connected.
Or how do you activate the xm radio? Do you press CD button twice to activate? then you are using AUX input.
However, you have to open that knee panel anyway to see what kind of adapter you are using.
Depends on what kind of adapter you are using for the xm, it's gonna be different blitzsafe adapter that you have to buy.

Are there any adapters for pocket pc's. I have a Cingular 8125 and it has windows media player 10. I have a lot of songs on this thing and I would like to be able to listen to it in my car. I have done searches and have not found anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner- I haven't been checking the thread so regularly anymore. But yea, I got the Dice and I'm really glad. I don't know why i screwed around the cigarette outlet chargers and cassette adapters for so long.

Was your kuda mount black? I know this thread is old but I like that mount

iPhone 3g???

I was going to purchase this unit until my friend said that the iPhone 3g will only only charge through USB.

Can anybody confirm this??

If this is true, this means that this will not charge the 3g iphone.

Thanks in advance.

3G ipod will not charge, but it will still play your music through the headunit. Blitzsafe is making an IPhone 3G cable that will allow the Iphone to charge, and still have functionality for older version Ipods. You can always get an adapter. Google- cablejive iphone 3G adapter.

I have the Blitzsafe adapter from about 2 years ago. It still works flawlessly with all my iPods, and I can play songs from my iPhone. My iPhone will not charge however. It could possibly be the iPod software, although mine should be up to date as well. Try a restore on your iPod through iTunes.

If you have a blitzsafe adapter like I do already, it just plugs into the main unit.

The main blitzsafe unit (about half the size of a deck of cards) connects to the back of the stereo. Then, it has the round connector coming out of the main unit, which goes to the iPod/iPhone, and of course has the proper adapter for those things at the other end. It's just so that if you have to replace the cord (my iPod plug was falling apart from so much use), all you do is replace the cord, and not the actual blitzsafe unit itself.
