Black TL with tint - need pics

It's time for me to get the car tinted. Since the TL has been deemed a "family" car unfortunately the wife has some say so on the tint. So if you would, post a pic of your black TL with tint and let me know what percentage the tint is.

35% tint is perfect... it looks dark at night and during the day you still can see through a little, as long as the sunroof is open.
Check out more pics in the link in my SIG.

Cool deal....35% is what I was thinking of since that is as dark as I can go in Texas. But I was afraid it might be too dark for the wife. Once I show her this picture, I don't think it will be too dark for her. Thanks for the pic.

I dont know the facts, are you looking for heat and uv protection or looks. I would go with mirror. I did and it blocks 98% UV and 50% heat which is 3 times as much heat protection as black.

I'm going for both, looks and heat reduction. Since looks is a major factor, I won't be going with mirrored tint.

I got the 35% Llumar Stealth (black) tint on my black TL-S. Looks great and helps keep it much cooler in the summer. My tint shop tinted up to but not including the dot matrix on the back window.
Looks grea and can't tell the dot matrix was not tinted. Have hear that sometimes the tint does not look very good when it is applied to the dot matrix. Paid about $235.

I agree that the black tint looks much better than the mirror tint on a black car.

Texas eh? I'm in Austin...where are you? H-Town? Dallas? Oh and the cops aren't all that strict over here about tint...I've yet to hear of someone caught on it. I'm probably going 25-30%, maybe 50% on the front windshield and 50% on the rear. Let me know how yours looks...

I've heard of the Llumar...is it really good? Have any pics? I have a Black TLS so I'm in the market for some nice looking black car tint.

dj5...yeah, I saw a TL with the dot matrix tinted...looked like crap. No way I will be tinting that part of the rear.

Austin...I'm in Houston. These days I like to keep my vehicles 100% legal since I do illegal things in them, such as SPEEDING.
Not sure when I will get around to tinting it, just know it will be before summer gets here.

Riz...fix the link, says page is not available. I wanna see your pic.

Riz...instead of clicking on the link, I typed it in. I need to see that kind of tint in person. In the picture it looks really sharp. Something I might want to go with.

For those that are interested, I found some pics of a car on the net that has 35% titanium tint. I think that's the route I will go, that titanium looks pretty sharp.

Hey Crzy Acura, have you ever been pulled over for having tint in the front windows? I think the suburban cops are more strict than city cops.

Go to my sig and click "my car". Most saturdays I drive with my son in the back seat, I didn't like the sun in his face so I got the tint. The tint I have is Quantum tint, it's not pure mirror, but not full black either. It does have a little metallic reflection. I got 28%, but you can still see through it even @ night.
