Wink Black Paint Pigment

Have any of you noticed your Black TLS in direct sunlight? At a particular angle you will see a metallic blue-purple tint. COOL!

Also, have any of you noticed the extra space available for a bottom dash switch? It is next to the dash light dimmer rotary switch (bottom left of the steering wheel).

Last thing: Passenger windshield wiper blade doesn't bend upward like the driver side. I like doing this for washing....little wierd. But I DO like buried the washer jets (not on the hood). Makes for a clean look!

I love my car. Quiet, Black, Luxurious, but Powerful!

Also notice that under the trunk lid there is a small camera. It is videoing every move you make and sending it up via the sat link to Acura Headquarters.

Let us know if you don't find it. Maybe it was just in mine.

Addona,

You're right. It does look like dark blue from certain angle. My friend told me that's how the balck looks like in the Acura model. Love this color, but hard to keep it clean and shiny.

LoL
When I first noticed the mettalic blue in the paint I was like "Those bastards gave me the wrong car!!!" but I guess that's why they call it a black pearl...since it's not a flat black hehe...my last car a 94 granada black pearl vtec lude had the same effect except it had a more gold tone to the black in direct sunlight

The Nighthawk Black Pearl has blue paint chips in the paint. The TL changed to this color back on the 2000 model that is what I have.

I've had people email me to tell me how much they like the pictures of my "Dark Blue" TL-S! I went back and looked at them, and they actually look dark blue!

Most Bizarre!

I actually noticed this before I bought the TL-S.

It seem few of manufaturers are doing this. My Mit. 3000GT had the same thing.

I would have preferred solid black

regarding the blank screen below the rear spoiler: In Japan, As a factory option, you could purchase a rear camera with your navi TL. When you put it in reverse, the camera will automatically display on your navi screen.

Inspire - Is that option available in the states as aftermarket or through a dealer? That would be a very cool addition.

What y'all smokin' there fellas! See'in all them differnt colors and thangs...just kiddin and you're right, bad southern accent. Anyhoo, my DEP looks almost black at certain times of the day and the most pearlescent shade of green at others. Really nice. I found a great liquid wash for my car, it's by Meguiars and it's called "Gold Class". Try it, you'll like it.
