Has anyone replaced the chrome badge with the black chrome or seen another car that has done it?. If so how dos it look?.

I'm thinking of doing the same on my silver TL-s. I think the ACURA badge would stand out a lot more aginst the silver colour of the car.

What do you think?

 

I always thought the black chrome looks great with the silver. Do the dealers have the new 2002 emblems in the black chrome??

 

I do believe Nate has black chrome on his silver TL. I'm still debating till I see one with it in person.

The Type-S does not have the Black Crome option for its badging. If it did I would have it right now...

I am not even sure that they will offer it.

Hmmm that would be a great way to differentiate the base TL and the TL-S. Instead of just having the Type-S badging. They could get all the black chrome on it... but then again, everyone else has been talking about stripping the badges.

 

I just got my silver TL-S last week and I got the Black Chrome Kit with it. When I went to pick it up, they informed me that they made a mistake and that the Black chrome kit is not offered for the Type-S. however, they had already changed the ACURA and TL letters to the BCK. It looks a little odd having the Acura symbol chrome and the letters darker. So they said that they would fix it this weekend and refund me the charge for the kit. So i am now driving around with mixed up looking badging. Kind of messed up...oh well

 

Except for the Type s badge, what is the difference?

 

I think the black chrome badges would look very nice on the White diamond -- i've seen Lexus ES300's w/ the black chrome .. and wow, it really is nice for such a small change in the exterior. It'd look more sporty and further separate the Type S from the TL-P -- I wonder why they didn't go stock w/ this feature at Acura.

 

The Black Chrome lettering would be very nic on the TL-S. I have it on my ES 300 Platinum Ed. I Love it.

I actually think the 2001 ES300 Coach edition and the 1999 Platinum ed. are the sweetest looking cars in the $30K range.. I just wish the 260 hp and 5-spd auto was in the ES300 for under $35K!!!

 

Anybody have any pics of rear black chrome badge put on?

 

I order it for the 2002 TL. Though they may not have the "type s" badge in black chrome.

 

I regret not putting on the black chromes as it is in our favor due to its dark color contrasting our silver TLs. I think i'll look phat and sweet as it can ever be. Anyway i'ma install it at the park ave meet along with other things
