Big Problem, Help Needed

Ok, i was doing the LED PROJECT and i was working on the sunroof switch and i thought i did everything right and when i plugged it back in and turned the interior lights on i saw a spark and ALL THE LIGHTS WENT OUT... the radio, ac, gauges, everything except the odometer backlighting and the door lights and dome. I checked all the fuses on the sides by the doors but none were blown... anyone else have this problem? i need to fix this fast cus i cant see my gauges or radio or ac lights at night!!!!!

eww... sounds like a short somewhere. Umm... I'm not sure what the hell your problem is, cause I wouldn't dream of doing that mod... I'm not that technologically inclined. I think you should talk to Tatewaki - he seems knowlegable about this sort of thing. Good luck!!

and you said something blew went you turned on the interior lights, so can we to assume you never actually tried to operate the sunroof switch right?

The overhead lights dim and fade out gradually. Its controlled by a body control module, but without my Helms electrical manual for the TL in front of me I cant tell you where its located. If that circuit smoked, then you'll know it just by sniffing near the module. You will smell a burned smell. If you roasted that and are lucky, you'll see a fried resistor or something in there that you might be able to replace.

I am not sure why the interior light would be on the same circuit as the sunroof. Again, without the Helms in front of me, i dont know what circuits go into the sunroof switch. Try Takewaki and see if he knows. He might be able to short circuit (pun intended) your troubleshooting.

Did you check the fuse under the hood? Also where did you see the sparks? Verify all the soldering that you did. Make sure nothing is shorted
